Dear Ms. Jevne:

It was a couple of years ago that we met in your office to discuss whether or not St. Christopher Academy (St. Christopher Academy) might be a fit for Dede. We had spent a great deal of time looking for the best setting for her unique learning style. Dede falls into a 'gap' in education services: somewhere between special education and assisted mainstream support. Additionally, she has no behavioral issues and is socially adept for a young person with special needs --making for an even more challenging fit in special education programs.

In the course of that discussion, you convinced us that St. Christopher Academy could teach to her strengths and interests and that she would be a successful graduate of high school. Your confidence and good old fashioned determination compelled us to enroll Dede at St. Christopher Academy.

In the first school year, we saw a remarkable change in Dede's abilities, interests and excitement about school. It is not overstating it to say, St. Christopher Academy has opened up a whole new world to her.

What is so amazing is that Dede loves coming to school at St. Christopher Academy! Every day she can hardly wait to get there. On the weekends, she looks forward to Monday and going back to school. We are thrilled to see her so happy at school, willing to work hard, loving what she is learning and processing – a first year GPA of 3.5 was a sign of her (and your) successes.

A famous quote by Yeats comes to mind. "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." You have our most sincere thanks for helping light that fire for Dede.
Thank you for your time, support, and ongoing commitment to our students.
